muzikfranz, dj und musiker, hat in österreich
bereits die unterschiedlichsten locations gerockt. sein name steht für eine
abwechslungsreiche interpretation der begriffe "groove" und "party". Zitat:
„begonnen hat alles bei einem freund im wohnzimmer, mit einem absoluten low
budget equipment. ich konnte und wollte mich schon damals nicht für eine
bestimmte musikrichtung entscheiden, was einerseits das erlernen des mixing’s erschwerte, aber andererseits viel routine und spontanität
brachte. auch in zukunft lasse ich mich in keine schublade stecken, gut ist,
was gefällt! reggae, dub, hip hop, jazz, house, elektro, breakbeat, alternative, drum & bass,
dazu noch eine prise funk und einen spritzer soul, das ganze
abwechslungsreich miteinander vermischen und je nach geschmack mit etwas
latin oder gypsysound versüssen – fertig“.
seine dj-karriere startete er 1996 in st.pölten und lebt seit 2001 in wien.
ständig auf der suche nach der phattesten bassline seit menschen gedenken,
überrascht er gerne mit freshen tunes, die wenn sie erst mal auf den turntables zirkulieren, aus einem netten abend eine richtige party machen
können. aber auch seine ruhigere seite hat er bei liquid radio(FM4) schon
des öfteren unter beweis gestellt. hinter den wheels of steel findest du ihn
meist gemeinsam mit seinen dj-kumpanen d. schärf,
lite.roc, tricky tom, manuva (total chaos),

muzikfranz who is both, DJ as well as musician, has been rocking various locations in Austria. His name stands for a diversified interpretation of the definitions “Groove” and “Party”.
DJ muzikfranz on his career:
“It all started from a little session in the living room of my friend’s apartment. Back then, all we had was a real low-budget equipment. But for me it had been clear right from the start that I would not specialize on just one genre of music. This decision on one hand made it rather difficult for me to learn ‘mixing’ on turntables, though on the other hand it helped me to acquire routine and spontaneity, both. Also, for future reference, I will not let myself get ‘crammed’ in one specific genre – good is what is being liked, music-wise! Reggae, Dub, HipHop, Jazz, House, Breakbeat, Drum&Bass, all these styles combined with a pinch of Funk and a dash of Soul, then make this into one great mix of variety and add a bit of Latin or Gypsy-Sound to it & ready it is, my personal cocktail of muzik!”
muzikfranz’ DJ career started in 1996, in his place of birth: St. Pölten. He has been living in Vienna since 2001. On the constant search for the fattest bass-line ‘since human’s existence’, muzikfranz loves to surprise his listeners with fresh tunes which – once spinning on the turntables – can turn a nice little evening into one huge party. His work for Liquid Radio (a special show on Austria’s alternative radio station FM4) has furthermore shown muzikfranz’ sensitive, calmer side music-wise. Behind the ‘wheels of steel’ you may often find muzikfranz teaming up with his DJ friends and colleagues d.schärf, lite.roc, tricky tom, manuva (total chaos), patrique, emissionen DJ-team, and the list goes on.
